Hilton Hotels were founded by Conrad Hilton in 1919. Hilton Hotels became the first international hotel chain when it opened the doors of its Caribe Hilton hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The name brand Hilton is actually the flagship of Hilton Hotels Corporation which is based in Beverly Hills, California. Today, Hilton Hotel Corporation remains one of the world’s largest hotel chains.
